How green is our city
The Frankfort Climate Action Network partnered with the city of Frankfort Sept. 6 for the second annual Going Green: Frankfort Climate Action Festival held on the lawn of the Old Capitol.
The festival focused on celebrating the city's progress in reducing greenhouse gas emissions while highlighting what citizens, government, businesses and organizations can do to use less energy, reduce emissions and create a more sustainable community.
Clean up the shore
Volunteers are needed for the Rough River Dam State Resort Park shoreline cleanup on Sept. 27. After the cleanup, there will be lunch, a live band and door prizes for participants.
The cleanup will begin about 8 a.m., and the festivities will wrap up about 2:30 p.m.
